Impressum Home Gästebuch Multimedia Songliste Band Kontakt/Anfrage Referenzen News Links Biography: From Oberkrainer to rock We five musicians (Martin Schürf, Hans Lapper, Robert Feil, Bernd Walter and Robert Neugebauer) met in the year 2003 to start with a new band. One thing was very clear from the beginning: “We will only play 100% live!” Right from the start we had a huge musical programme due to the long lasting experiences out of various ensembles before and it didn’t take long for the first gigs to play. From Oberkrainer to rock – that’s the philosophy of the Alpen-Papagallos and of course the show is important. In October 2003 the first single “Keine Bange volle Kanne“ was followed by an invitation of the well-known TV-station K-TV in Bregenz to represent our 2 titles at Benno Bogner’s Musikkarussell. For weeks we’ve been no. 1 in the charts with both titles. In October 2004 we had the first reshuffle. After Robert Neugebauer had left the Alpen-Papagallos for private reasons, we’ve got Christian Moosegger, a sophisticated guitarist and solo vocalist, who newly sparked the Alpen-Papagallos fire.  Soon it was on bridal couples’ and wedding-planers’ beat that “DER WEIN” (a typical Bavarian tradition, where the bride gets stolen and the band has to entertain the guests in the meantime) with us is a great musical firework – and nothing is impossible. 2005 we had an inquiry from the USA and so we went to Miami for a week to show the American folks how we make music. In October 2006 we had another replacement. Markus Walenta followed Bernd Walter as a trumpeter and since then we are on stage in this instrumentation. “And hopefully for many further years”. With our modern sound systems we are playing a diversified programme, from Oberkrainer sound to rock, from oldies, hits and evergreens to the current charts.
